Street Style: Down to Business
Kendra Sheer Tie Front Blouse
Belgium Brown Oversize Tote Bag
Layered Jewel Leaf Dangle Necklace (Ivory)
An ivory blouse is a must have piece for any woman's wardrobe, especially for those who are looking to get down to business at the office! Keep things simple with a neutral palette by matching an ivory top to an earth tone, fitted pair of slacks like the photo above. For those looking to make a bolder statement, combine a patterned or colored pencil skirt with a tucked in blouse. (Use a full tuck for a prim and proper look, or tuck in the front and allow the back to hang out for a more casual vibe.) Truly, it's a win-win situation all around as it's nearly impossible to go wrong with such a classic hue!

Celebrity Style: Young Hollywood Attire
Caroline Ivory High Neck Crochet Dress
Selene Blue Lace Contrast Button Up Dress
Anita Color Block Cold Shoulder Mini Dress
Kylie Off Shoulder Coral Embroidered Dress
Is it ok to admit that I want to see the new Spring Breakers movie? Reckless behavior, beautiful people, exotic locations... need I say more? Everyone needs a fun, Saturday night flick, right? Plus, I like Selena Gomez. She plays the Hollywood game well. Speaking of Ms. Gomez, I love how she and her co-stars have been gracing the red carpet in attire that suits their starlet vibe. It's not stuffy. It's not outlandish. It's sassy, yet sweet, and incredibly relatable. So, take note... be inspired... slip on something bright and let the good times roll!
Cheers to spring break,
Emilie

Street Style: Mint Sensation
Pebbles Sheer Mint Polka Dot Print Shorts
Tibet Purple Flap Front Clutch Purse
Wavy Rhinestone Stretch Bracelet (Ivory)
They say that the color mint is often associated with peace and a sense of rebirth. It seems only appropriate then that, in order to shake off winter and welcome spring, a head to toe mint outfit is required! (Lightweight fabrics will ensure you stay cool well into summer, too.) Whether you add a pop of color with accessories or keep it monochromatic, enjoy this hue while it lasts!

Runway Inspiration: Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2013 RTW Collection
Slay me! The Dolce & Gabbana fall 2013 collection has induced gorgessity overload! Honestly, it's hard to speak. Everything is soooooo pretty! Wait. Scratch that. The word pretty is too cheap to use when describing this collection. You have to be on a gold bar fantasy to conjure up these designs. (You could also just be fabulously influenced by Venetian and Byzantine mosaics, but that sounds way too practical.) I would much rather believe that Domenico and Stefano were riding a magic carpet that begged for them to use lipstick red, gilded thread, and the faces of saints on their next venture. In the end, all I can offer to these gifted men is a bravo for pulling it off. Bravo! I've never been more interested in the art and history of 12th-century cathedrals until now.

Celebrity Style: Bangles, Bracelets, Cuffs
1. Crystal Studded Stacked Bangles
2. Diagonal Bar Crystal Bangles
3. Orange Leatherette Wrap Bracelet
4. Pressed Leaf Shape Yellow Bangle Set
There's a big shindig going on this weekend, aka the Oscars, and it marks the end of awards season. With all of the pomp and circumstance over the past few months, including delectable fashion pieces making their debut on celebrity limbs, I'm a little sad that the show is coming to a close. Will your eyes be glued to the red carpet like mine? Will you get distracted by all of the bling?
Bling - I know, why can't I come up with something better than the word bling? Well, it's just one of those terms that fit! When you see a diamond sparkle or spot a glistening golden chain weaving its way across flawless shoulders, there's no other way to describe it. These objects and the thoughts they induce are, quite simply, bling. (Please forgive me for my lack of originality and conformism on this!)
Speaking of bling, I love what a pair of tinkling bracelets or a bold cuff can bring to an outfit. Do you need some spark? Color? A sign that you're ready to rebel or be downright glamourous? Look no further my friends, invest in an assortment of bangles, bracelets and cuffs!

Flower Locket Pearl Necklace
I have been on a regency period kick! North & South, Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, etc. I've burned through so many stories, I've succumbed to fanfiction! To top off my voracious need for the antics of courting and British culture, I've also gotten into my blood the idea of dressing for dinner and taking tea in the afternoon. Of course, this is where the delightful floral print dress above comes into play. When I saw it in our office I easily painted a picture of a young woman sitting next to a beautiful table with delicate porcelain cups, steeping Earl Grey tea, cucumber sandwiches, orange marmalade, and crumpets. Come to think of it, this outfit would have been perfect for the celebratory event Shelley and I crafted after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge got married. (Yes, I confess... we're slightly nerdy and over the moon on romance.)
